Andy Irwandy

Andy Irwandy is a professional guitarist of Malaysia with over 28 years of experience in the industry. He began his journey in 1997 with the Symphony Orchestra Sarawak and has since performed across Malaysia and internationally — from major concert stages to intimate venues, clubs, hotels, and exclusive events.

Since 2010, Andy has been the guitarist for Kuala Lumpur-based band Azlan & The Typewriter, known for its poetic lyricism, bold experimental arrangements, and the iconic husky vocals of frontman Azlan. The band’s standout singles — Idola, Mata Hati, Melankoli, and Jangan Khianati Aku — have garnered critical acclaim, winning awards such as the AIM Best Rock Song. Their music has been featured in numerous local films and TV dramas, and the band has performed on prestigious platforms including Anugerah Juara Lagu. In 2014, they proudly represented Malaysia at MIDEM in Cannes, France — one of the world’s leading music trade events.
